Institute for Bioethics

  • Purpose: To promote the care of patients as whole persons through research and education in bioethics. Utilizes an interdisciplinary approach incorporating philosophical, theological, legal, and empirical viewpoints.
  • Current research: Includes ethics of end-of-life care, ethics education and professionalism, ethical issues surrounding cost-containment in health care, and ethical issues in research.
