Welcome to Distance Education Programs at the School of Health Sciences and Practice
Earn a high-quality accredited graduate degree or certificate from New York Medical College School of Health Sciences and Practice in a fully online format. The curriculum, faculty, admissions, and tuition are the same as our on-campus programs, and online students also have the same access to faculty, program advisors, and school services.
New York Medical College is one of the largest private health sciences universities in the nation. Our beautiful, suburban campus is located close to New York City. Many of our faculty are actively affiliated with county health departments, health systems, and other institutions in the greater New York area, as well as national and international organizations. They are here to share their experience as well as knowledge.
Whether you are a busy professional, balancing work and family, or just interested in learning without the constraints of a campus-based program, the School’s online Master of Public Health and graduate certificates are ideal for working professionals, military, and public health service personnel, people with disabilities, and human resource managers looking for new opportunities for employees.
Both the campus-based and the online courses are taught by world-class faculty – no teaching assistants are ever used. The rich learning environment features tutorials and courses with exercises, discussions, readings, projects, collaborative assignments, and faculty interaction and guidance. Communication is ongoing via email, discussion boards, and group conference rooms. Many students have reported that there is as much interaction with faculty and student peers in online classes as in the classroom. School services include academic advising, library access, bookstore, and more.
Online classes and all course information is offered though the School’s Learning Management System (LMS) at http://nymc.remote-learner.net/. Our online and on-campus public health programs are accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health.
Students may take classes all on online or take blended combination of on-campus and online classes. Graduates certificates may be combined with an MPH or taken separately.
