New York Medical College prides itself on its dedication to preserving and protecting the health of all people, with a special responsibility to the underserved and with a deep awareness of the sacredness of all human life. Throughout its history, New York Medical College has always committed its energy, intelligence and skill to educating gifted, compassionate healers.
Stemming from our oldest traditions, our commitment to teaching, research and service finds its place in the community. It can take many forms: a free medical clinic in East Harlem run by volunteer faculty and medical students. A summer program that pairs faculty researchers with high school science teachers to reignite their passion for teaching their own students. A Saturday program that prepares promising young inner city students to reach their academic goals, helping them realize their dreams. There are dozens more… student groups with a community focus, programs that place students in major public health organizations, blood drives and walkathons and tutoring programs and educational outreach. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about our history… or better yet, come and visit.
