Years of practicing the violin made Haru Okuda, M.D. ’99, a better musician. Now the multitasking Dr. Okuda is taking that principle to train medical professionals and give them an opportunity to hone their skills. He is overseeing the development of a $10 million, 10,000-square-foot simulation training center at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, where medical mannequins are used to practice techniques to reduce medical errors and improve patient safety.
