Art therapy for hospice patients was what first attracted Karel R. Amaranth, M.A., M.P.H. ’10, to the field of health care. She soon found herself drawn to helping minority groups, with a special focus on women and children who had lived with violence and abuse. Amaranth soon translated her love for helping others into a cause for world travel, providing care for those who don’t have access to it. When she’s not traveling, Amaranth is regional senior director of Senior Bridge, a company that provides geriatric homecare.
