NYT-NYMCCollege partners with The New York Times to offer online course on health care reform

 

Two faculty members in the Department of Health Policy and Management of the School of Health Sciences and Practice and one of their doctoral students have launched a new educational offering in partnership with The New York Times Knowledge Network. Through the KnowledgeNetwork, the College is now offering a dynamic, interactive online course on a topic of interest to all Americans—health care reform.

Peter Arno, Ph.D., professor and director of doctoral studies, Deborah Viola, Ph.D., M.B.A., associate professor and internship advisor in the doctoral program, and Nancie Celini, M.P.H. ’08, a doctoral candidate and e-learning professional with 30 years of experience implementing health care technology, created the course, “An Economic View of Health Care Reform,” which will run from February 22 until March 21.
