Wilbert S. Aronow, M.D.
Professor of Medicine
In recognition of his identification of the adverse effects of exposure to heavy air pollution from freeway traffic on angina pectoris and being first to describe silent myocardial ischemia. He is considered a leader in the area of geriatric cardiology and has authored national guidelines for blood pressure treatment in the elderly. Above all he is an outstanding educator and role model to all our trainees.
Dr. Aronow's research award lecture is entitled:
