2012 Dean's Research Award
will be presented to
Julian M. Stewart, M.D., Ph.D.
Professor of Pediatrics & Physiology
In recognition of his contributions to the fields of orthostatic intolerance, postural tachycardia syndrome and chronic fatigue syndrome, as well as creation of the Hypotension Center at NYMC. His studies have advanced the understanding of the complex mechanisms that control blood pressure and heart rate under changing conditions, provided insight into the autonomic control of human cardiovascular function, and led to improved treatment modalities for these disorders.
His research award lecture is entitled:
