MEDICAL COLLEGE TO HONOR THREE AT ANNUAL FOUNDER’S DINNER
Valhalla, N.Y., September 15, 2008—New York Medical College will honor three distinguished individuals at its annual fundraising gala, the Founder’s Dinner. The black tie event will take place on Saturday, October 18 at the Greenwich Hyatt in Greenwich, Conn.
The College will pay tribute to Thomas E. Hales, M.B.A., member of the Board of Trustees and former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Union State Bank, who will receive the William Cullen Bryant Award. The award, named for the College’s founder, recognizes distinguished leadership. Mr. Hales resides in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.
Susan A. Kline, M.D., of Westport, Conn., former vice provost of university student affairs and executive vice dean of academic affairs, will be honored with the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her more than two decades of dedication and service to the College.
The Jackson E. Spears Community Service Award will be presented to Michael D. Israel, M.P.H., president and chief executive officer of Westchester Medical Center and member of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Israel resides in Lloyd Harbor, N.Y.
