MEDICAL COLLEGE HOSTS RACE TO SUPPORT ATHLETES WITH DISABILITIES
Valhalla, N.Y., October 9, 2008—On Sunday, October 12, physical therapy students in the New York Medical College School of Public Health will host the tenth annual Race for Rehab, a 5K run/walk and 10K run. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Achilles Track Club, a world-wide organization that encourages people with physical challenges to participate in running events, regardless of speed, level of ability or age.
The Race for Rehab’s goal is to raise awareness and funds for abilities of physically challenged athletes, who lack the resources to participate in athletic events. Runners of all abilities are registered to participate in the Race for Rehab.
Race registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The 10K race begins at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K begins at 10:00 a.m.
