MEDICAL COLLEGE ANNOUNCES NEW CHAIRMAN
Valhalla, N.Y., October 29, 2009—New York Medical College has appointed John T. Fallon III, M.D., Ph.D., chairman of the Department of Pathology. He is also the director of pathology at Westchester Medical Center (WMC). Prior to joining the College Dr. Fallon served as chief of cardiovascular pathology and professor of pathology and of medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He also served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Division of Health, Sciences and Technology.
Dr. Fallon will focus on scholarly efforts while leading and collaborating in acclaimed research programs to enable the department to evolve into a leading force for the delivery of state-of-the-art clinical care for the Lower Hudson Valley and beyond.
Dr. Fallon received a B.A. from Providence College and his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Albany Medical College. He completed a residency in pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital and a clinical fellowship in pathology at Harvard Medical School. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology and resides in Rowayton, Conn.
