Celebrating National Public Health Week at New York Medical College School of Health Sciences and Practice
Public Health is ROI “Return on Investment” Save Lives, Save Money

April 8-11, 2013

NPHW

In 1995, former President William Jefferson Clinton proclaimed the first full week of April as National Public Health Week (NPHW). Each year since then, the public health community has celebrated this observance by focusing on an issue that is important to improving the public's health. The American Public Health Association (APHA) serves as the lead organizer of NPHW and with the help of its members and hundreds of organizational partners, educates the public, policymakers, and practitioners about the importance of public health and issues related to that year’s NPHW them. Schools across the country schedule a variety of local events during this week (Visit the 2013 NPHW website).

The School of Health Sciences and Practice at New York Medical College is celebrating National Public Health Week by hosting events and activities during the week of April 8th surrounding this year’s theme, “Public Health is ROI “Return on Investment” Save Lives, Save Money.”
