Alma Mater

Recently uncovered NYMC artifacts are now on display on a wall in the Basic Sciences Building, just outside of the Drs. Esther and Ben Chouake Auditorium, across from the Health Sciences Library: a set of letters and sheet music. The display is from the College's 75th Anniversary Pageant held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City on June 4, 1935. On display is the "Alma Mater March" which was played at the opening and closure of the 12-act pageant, composed by Dave Stamper (1883-1963), an American songwriter known for his songs in the Ziegfeld Follies, Broadway musicals, musical shows in London and Hollywood movies.
