With 2,000 faculty members, a medical and graduate student body of over 1,600, and research funding in excess of $40 million, New York Medical College is both a teaching and a research university. The university awards students M.D., Master of Science, Master of Public Health and doctoral degrees in 36 program areas, while at the same time serving as a home to researchers making significant advances in the prevention and treatment of heart disease, cancer, AIDS and other diseases.

In addition to our other research and teaching functions, New York Medical College provides residencies and fellowships in more than 85 fully accredited Graduate Medical Education programs. For physicians already in the field, the university provides Continuing Medical Education programs to keep them abreast of the latest developments in medical technology.
