Many of our alumni and friends wish to assume a leadership role in supporting the objectives of the College. For some, it’s a way to express appreciation for an educational foundation that underpins a successful professional life. Some partner with the College in order to name a facility or program or to honor someone who has made a lasting difference in their lives. Others make annual leadership gifts as part of an overall financial or philanthropic plan or for other worthy purposes.

All of these generous donors foster excellence in medical and health sciences education and research, thereby advancing the public's health and well being on a regional, national and global level. And without their continued and unwavering support, we would not be able to maintain our distinction as a leading health sciences university. New York Medical College has established the following giving societies to recognize our remarkable donors:

Bryant Society

In lasting tribute to William Cullen Bryant, the legendary poet, editor, and civic leader who founded New York Medical College, the Bryant Circle honors philanthropists who support the mission of the university at the highest levels of giving. Donors who contribute $25,000 or more in a year become members of this elite society. Bryant Society contributors receive periodic updates from the president, special recognition in the annual Donor Report, and an exclusive invitation to attend the annual Bryant Society recognition event.

1860 Society

Commemorating the year of New York Medical College's founding, the 1860 Society recognizes those generous individuals and organizations who, through annual gifts of $10,000 or more, partner with the College to advance the institution's historic mission. 1860 Society members receive periodic updates from the president, special recognition in the annual Donor Report, and an exclusive invitation to attend the annual 1860 Society recognition event.

President's Society

Established in 1997, the President's Circle recognizes donors whose annual contributions of $2,500 or more enrich the intellectual, social and spiritual fabric of the College. President's Society members are listed in the annual Donor Report, receive copies of important College publications, and are invited to attend the annual President’s Circle recognition event.

The Legacy Society

The Legacy Society honors those generous alumni and friends who make provisions for the College future vitality in their wills or through other planned giving. Legacy Society members receive special recognition in the annual Donor Report and are invited to attend the annual President’s Circle recognition event. The Traditions Society

The Traditions Society recognizes the loyalty and generosity of donors who have made annual contributions to the College for twenty years or more. Traditions Society members receive special recognition in the annual Donor Report and are invited to attend the annual President’s Circle recognition event.
