Relaxation Classes

When it comes to relaxation, a little bit of “work” goes a long way.  At NYMC, we have yoga, Pilates, and meditation classes for students seeking physical and mental strength, focus, and equilibrium.  

Yoga:
- Monday 12-1pm
- Tuesday 5:30-6:30pm
- Thursday 5:30-6:30pm
Asprinio Fitness Center in Skyline Bldg.
Instructor: Mary Butler-Fink is a registered yoga instructor. She has been teaching yoga for over 16 years. Her focus is on creating balance in life. She teaches both group and private classes and has worked with individuals of all levels in the practice to secure steadiness.

Pilates / Core Strength:
- Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm
Asprinio Fitness Center in Skyline Bldg.
Instructor: Fern Stearney is a personal trainer, group fitness and Pilates instructor. She specializes in providing attention to improve form and understanding of exercise. Her class will focus on improving overall strength, posture, balance, flexibility and stability. 

Meditation:
- Monday 1-1:30pm
- Thursday 6:30-7pm

(Meditation immediately follows the yoga class on Monday & Thursday)

** Please note – wellness classes will NOT be held on days the campus is closed (holidays, inclement weather, etc.)
