Delta Omega (ΔΩ) Honorary Society in Public Health

Delta Omega was formed at Johns Hopkins University in 1924. Today Delta Omega has more than 100 chapters throughout the world and more than 20,000 members from the top echelons of graduate schools and programs of public health and the public health community. The School of Health Sciences and Practice (SHSP) at NYMC is the Delta Alpha Chapter and recognizes outstanding scholarship and achievements. The Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS)


ghhs new 6.22.22 cmThe Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) honors senior medical students, residents, role-model physician teachers, and others who have “demonstrated excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service.” As part of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, the GHHS aims to elevate the values of humanism and professionalism within the field of medicine. Membership in the society is intended to not only honor those involved but to promote the ideals of humanism in medicine through community service, mentorship, role-modeling, and other initiatives.

Alpha Eta National Honor Society for the Allied Health Professions

AE crop 6.23.22 cmAlpha Eta was formed in 1973 at the University of Florida to promote and recognize significant scholarship, leadership, and contributions to the allied health professions. Eligibility for membership into one of Alpha Eta’s 85 chapters requires demonstrated academic, scholarly, and clinical excellence. The society recognizes outstanding scholarship and achievements, and members are inducted by chapters through a highly-selective process.
