Global Health Experiences

New York Medical College prepares students for the health challenges and opportunities of the 21st century – which includes an understanding of health systems and sciences in various geographies around the world. To encourage exposure to international health care operations, NYMC offers student exchange programs with five foreign medical schools: Tokai University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan; the Catholic University of Korea in Seoul, South Korea; Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary; Hebrew University School of Medicine in Jerusalem, Israel; and Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico. Under exchange agreements with these schools, full-time students in good standing – including fourth-year School of Medicine students – can engage in global health electives.
