To the applicants:
We appreciate your interest in the Residency Training Program in the Department of Dermatology at New York Medical College. Applicants for our program must apply through the Electronic Resident Application Service (ERAS). You may obtain detailed information on how to apply by contacting your Dean’s Office (U.S. medical school students and graduates), the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) (Canadian students and graduates), the ECFMG (graduates of foreign medical schools), or the "www.aamc.org/eras" website.
We are currently not participating in the NRMP match and therefore do not take consideration of the applications of senior medical students.
November 15 is our deadline for receiving all application materials for the upcoming July 1st start date. (For example, applications received by November 15 of the current year will be considered for positions starting the academic year beginning July 1 of the following year. Because of the large number of applicants, it is necessary for interviews to be by invitation only. Our Faculty Committee will review completed applications in December and will issue invitations in late December for a personal interview which will be held in middle of January. Each year approximately 20-30 applicants are interviewed for the two or three positions available (depending on the year).
To be eligible for consideration, all applicants must have completed or be in the process of completing an internship in one of the following: transitional year, internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, emergency medicine, or obstetrics and gynecology the year that they apply.
