Didactic Curriculum

Ample time is set aside for didactic sessions. Lectures are given by NYMC Dermatology faculty, visiting professors and residents. Most sessions are run by residents and faculty is available for guidance. Instruction is delivered daily in the following format:

Monday
Dermatopathology Unknowns with Dr. Miller or Yousefzadeh: 8-9 AM
Basic Sciences with Dr. Safai: 4:30-6 PM

Tuesday
Junior resident case presentation: 11:45 AM -12 PM

Wednesday
Surgery Book Review with Dr. Engelman: 8-9 AM
Grand Rounds: 1-2 PM
Book review and core lectures: 2-3 PM
Journal Club and Basic Sciences with Dr. Pereira: 3:00-5:30 PM

Thursday
Dermatopathology Unknowns Preview with all residents: 4-5 PM

Friday
Core Dermatopathology instruction with Dr. Schulman: 8-10 AM
Clinicopathologic Correlation session with Dr. Schulman: 10-11 AM
AAD Clinical slide review: 4-5 PM
