Dermatology is the clinical science which integrates skin biology with the pathophysiological processes common to human diseases. Here at New York Medical College, our faculty and staff have set goals in three areas - patient care; research and education:

• We strive to provide the highest quality of patient care to those with skin disorders. This entails the application of the newest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases.
• Through research, we advance the frontiers of knowledge and apply the most modern scientific tools to skin-related research questions and observe from our patients clues to better understand dermatologic disease.
• We educate medical students, dermatology residents, graduate dermatologists, and other physicians to render the highest quality of patient care and extend both the clinical and basic science boundaries of medicine keeping us all on the cutting-edge of Dermatology.
