Metropolitan Hospital Center on First Avenue at 97th Street, just off the East 96th Street exit of the FDR Drive, making it easily accessible to anyone traveling by car from the Bronx, Queens, Westchester, or northern New Jersey.
Parking is provided at a discount price for housestaff physicians who commute by car.
The hospital is also conveniently accessible by subway, with the 96th Street station of the Lexington Avenue line's Number 6 train a few blocks away. The new Second Avenue subway line, which is currently under construction, will have a station in front of the hospital's entrance.
