Dr. Sachin Sule is an Attending Physician at Westchester Medical Center, Associate Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College and the Residency Program Director of the Internal Medicine residency training program. He is actively involved in the teaching of residents and students. He runs the "morning report" for night float residents where the emphasis is on bedside clinical examination and management of patients. He has been the recipient of numerous teaching awards during his tenure at the medical college.
As Program Director, Dr. Sule has been instrumental in moving forward a variety of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. These include the development of a unique desktop/I-touch/I-phone based handoff communication process and technological advances which permit key clinical information to reach the clinician more rapidly. Dr. Sule is involved in a number of clinical research areas, focusing most intensively on the cardiovascular system and new approaches to residency training.
Dr. Sule has been actively involved with the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine. He served as the associate council member representing Hudson Valley Region at the New York Chapter of ACP.
