The Department of Microbiology and Immunology held their annual Graduate Student Research Forum on November 2, 2006 in the Basic Sciences Building. The event was sponsored by Col. Melvin Freeman, member of the NYMC Board of Trustees. Introductions for the event were made by Raj Tiwari, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director and by Francis Belloni, PH.D., Professor of Physiology and Dean of the Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences. Judges for the event were Karsten Gronert, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Pharmacology, Susan Olson, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Patric Stanton, Ph.D., Professor of Cell Biology and Anatomy. Closing remarks were made by Ira Schwartz, Ph.D., Professor and Chairman, Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
