Howard A. Blanchette, M.D., F.R.C.S.(C), F.A.C.O.G. Professor and Chairman

Dr. Blanchette joined New York Medical College as Professor & Chairman, and Westchester Medical Center as Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology in August 2007. A graduate of McGill University medical school in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Blanchette completed his internship and residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles.

During his career, Dr. Blanchette has held teaching appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Yale University, and the University of Southern California School of Medicine, where he is an Emeritus Clinical Professor.

He is currently a Director of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Blanchette’s passion is teaching, and providing care to underserved women.
