Harlem Hospital Metropolitan Hospital Center Our Lady Of Mercy Westchester Medical Center Emergency Medicine residents rotate at Our Lady of Mercy for a total of 3 months during the academic program. Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center is a not for profit 480 bed private community hospital which serves the working/middle class communities of the North Bronx and Lower Westchester County. The Department of Emergency Medicine has an approximate patient volume of 54,000, 40% of whom are older than 65 years of age. It is here that Emergency Medicine residents have a great opportunity to manage geriatric emergencies. ![]() During this rotation, EM residents evaluate, diagnosis and participate in the resuscitation and management of all patients presenting to the ED and may perform any necessary procedure for stabilization of patients. The EMS rotation is also offered through OLM. It includes time in the BLS/ALS unit as well as the option to fly with the STAT Flight helicopter at Westchester Medical Center. |
