The Department of Emergency Medicine at WMC registers approximately 25,000 patients per year.

Among WMC's many highlights are:

  • Level I Trauma Center
  • Helicopter transplant/medicine for
        critically injured or ill patients
  • Advanced cardiac capabilities
  • Advanced pediatric capabilities
  • Diagnostic technology , MRI, endoscopy
        and sonogram
  • Interventional/invasive radiology

WMC specializes in tertiary care and serves the lower Hudson Valley and Westchester County. WMC is the only Level 1 trauma center between NYC and Albany as well as the only burn center between NYC and Syracuse.
