The 2013 Open Enrollment is currently in progress and will continue until December 21, 2012.
WHAT’S NEW IN 2013?
No more paper enrollments!
eBenefits is now available through PeopleSoft Employee Self Service, and it allows you to enroll or change your benefit elections for the Medical, Dental, Vision Plans and Flexible Spending Accounts. You will also be able to add or update your dependent information.
You can log onto eBenefits to make 2013 benefit selections now by clicking on the links in the “Frequently Asked Questions” section. You will be asked to enter your NYMC network Logon Name and Password, then follow Steps 1 2 3.
Employees at WIHD who have not had College network access can access Employee Self Service and eBenefits by entering the user name and default password distributed to you by WIHD. NYMC employees who have not been active on their NYMC network can contact the Information Services Help Desk at 914-594-4582 for access assistance.
To log onto eBenefits at any other time during Open Enrollment, go to the www.nymc.edu home page and follow the “2013 Open Enrollment” link.
If you are currently enrolled in the Empire Care Plus PPO or Empire EPO medical plans or one of the MetLife dental plans, and you do not wish to make any changes in 2013, no eBenefits elections are required!
Please note that eBenefits elections are required if you decide to enroll in the Flexible Spending Accounts and/or the Outlook Vision Plan.

Following is a brief description of new benefit changes to the Empire Care Plus PPO and EPO Plans, and the Health Care Flexible Spending Account that require your attention:
1) New Benefit Added:
Empire Care Plus PPO and EPO Plans will cover contraceptives with $0 copay for generic and brand name drugs when a generic substitute is not available effective January 1, 2013.
2) Copay Changes to Care Plus PPO Plan effective January 1, 2013:
Specialist copay will increase from $30 to $40
ER copay will increase from $100 to $150
3) CVS/Caremark Rx copay increases to Empire's Care Plus PPO and EPO Plans effective January 15, 2013:

4) New Health Care Flexible Spending Account Limit
Due to new IRS guidelines, the annual limit for the Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts will be reduced from $5,000 to $2,500 effective January 1, 2013. The Dependent Care annual limit remains unchanged at $5,000.

Deadline for all enrollments/changes is Friday, December 21, 2012. All changes become effective on January 1, 2013.
If you are currently enrolled in one of the medical and/or dental plans, and you do not wish to make any changes in 2013, no action is required!! However, you must re-enroll each year in the Flexible Spending Account Plans and the Vision Plan.
If you change medical plans, several weeks after enrollment you will receive an ID card for the plan you choose. No ID card is issued for the dental plans. Your new coverage becomes effective on January 1, 2013.
