As one of the nation’s largest private health sciences universities and the only academic biomedical research center between New York City and Albany, New York Medical College offers campus-wide research facilities to support the biomedical community. The College is located in Valhalla, N.Y., 25 miles north of New York City.

More than $47 million in research and other programs sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and other sources are ongoing at the university. Two hundred scientists located on campus and at 22 affiliated hospitals advance research in heart disease, cancer, kidney disease, AIDS, Lyme disease as well as in the neurosciences. Researchers also collaborate with biopharmaceutical companies that are looking for a way to supplement existing resources or are searching for new platform technology or product ideas.

The College provides access on a fee-for-service basis to centralized research facilities commonly used in drug discovery and development. These facilities serve as a conduit for biomedical industries to interact with the campus research community and afford access to sophisticated research equipment without the costs associated with purchase and maintenance.

The Technology Development Division was created in 1994 to expand basic and clinical research through collaborations with the biomedical community. The division advances medical technologies through licensing and cooperative research initiatives and recognizes the potential of these collaborations to promote the economic development of the Hudson Valley.

This website provides an overview of the university’s core research facilities. The names of contact persons for these facilities are included to enable you to reach them directly. Information about applicable fees is available upon request. For general information or to discuss a potential collaboration, please call Catharine Crea at 914-594-4480.

We welcome your interest.
