Donations

The Department of Physical Therapy in the School of Health Sciences and Practice, New York Medical College, is holding its 19th Annual Race for Rehab Certified 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 8, 2017. Donations and race proceeds benefit Achilles International, a world-wide organization that encourages people with physical disabilities of all levels to participate in running and exercising with the general public regardless of speed, level of ability or age.

Donation Tiers:

  • $200 - $999 - Organization logo on official Race for Rehab T-shirt
  • $1000 or more - Large sized organization logo on official Race for Rehab T-shirt and permitted one small table to promote organization 

Item Donations:

AFYA is a non-for-profit organization that aims to provide an environmentally responsible solution to the dire shortage of healthcare supplies in undeserved communities globally. This year a group of NYMC DPT students are collecting items to help AFYA accomplish their goals. Items requested from AFYA include: wheelchairs, crutches, canes, and walkers. Please help NYMC DPT students and AFYA accomplish these goals by donating these items during the Race for Rehab 5K! A booth will be set up for collection of donated items. Thank you!

*To be eligible for 501(c)(3) tax deduction, donations must be in cash and cannot be in in-kind value donation. Checks must be written to “New York Medical College” memo “Race for Rehab”.
