Advanced Certificate in Health Education (27 Credits)

Learn to Teach the Importance of Health

Our Advanced Certificate in Health Education will:

• Develop your understanding of the basics of health education in public health and the various social and behavioral factors that influence health.
• Prepare you to take on the challenge of health education program planning, implementation, research and evaluation.

The certificate may be taken independently or as part of an M.P.H. in Health Behavior and Community Health.

Students who complete the Advanced Certificate in Health Education are eligible to take the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) examination offered by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC).  

Ready to apply?

Prospective (Non-NYMC) students: Applicants to all of our public health programs must apply through the School of Public Health Application Services, SOPHAS.
