How to Apply

AMCAS Primary Application

NYMC is a member of the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS). To be considered, applicants must file their primary AMCAS application between June 1 and December 15 prior to the year of entry. For more information, contact AMCAS at amcas@aamc.org

NYMC Secondary Application

All applicants to the School of Medicine are sent a secondary application. Upon receipt of applicant information from AMCAS, NYMC provides a unique login and password for an applicant to access the online NYMC Secondary Application, which must be completed by midnight (EST) on January 31. To ensure you receive important email communications from the NYMC School of Medicine Office of Admissions,  please be sure your account is set up to accept emails from mdadmit@nymc.edu 

  • A non-refundable $120 application fee can be paid either electronically with a credit card or by check or money order. NYMC waives this application fee for those applicants approved for the AAMC-sponsored Fee Assistance Program (FAP).

Important Note

Individuals who previously matriculated to medical school and for any reason either withdrew or were dismissed are ineligible to apply.
