New York Medical College, one of the U.S.' largest private health sciences colleges, is located in Valhalla, New York, just 30 minutes north of midtown Manhattan. The NYMC School of Medicine has an extensive network of affiliated hospitals including urban medical centers, suburban hospitals, and technologically advanced, regional tertiary care facilities. These facilities afford a wide range of experiences and learning opportunities. The School of Medicine offers a variety of clinical and research electives to visiting students in their final year of undergraduate training. The application procedures for these rotations vary by hospital, as some applications are reviewed centrally through the medical school (utilizing VSAS), while others are handled entirely by the individual clinical affiliates.
