Upon Completion of the Program
Recent history has shown that approximately 75 percent of the departing trainees pursue fellowship training, primarily in plastic surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, colorectal surgery, pediatric surgery, vascular surgery and oncologic surgery. They have been accepted into some of the finest fellowship programs in the country. The pie chart included here shows the distribution of residents who have gone on to fellowship training in the various surgical specialties over the last 7 years.

In addition to fellowship training, a number of graduates have entered directly into private practice in areas such as General Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care at hospitals across the country.
