SLPM 6022 Audiology (Fall and Spring)

Course Description:

This course is an introduction into the assessment and identification of hearing loss, and to the etiologies of hearing loss. Class topics also include psychoacoustics, anatomy and physiology, and observational and clinical experiences. This course provides speech-language pathology majors with the necessary knowledge and skills defined in the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) guidelines and focuses strongly on aspects related to the speech-language pathologists’ scope-of-practice.
