On April 25, 2023, Kristen Booth Glen, Founding Director and Senior Advisor, Supported Decision-Making New York, presented, “Supportive Decision-Making: The Legal Perspective” to educate professionals, including those in the medical and dental fields, around the legal aspects of SDM vs guardianship.
On December 5, 2022, the "A Dozen Ways to Enhance Quality of Care for Patients with Disabilities” presentation allowed attendees to hear directly from individuals with disabilities on their experiences with health care services and how providers can improve communication and delivery of services.
On July 27, 2022, Dr. Liz Isakson presented "Building Bridges: Cross Sector Cooperation for Developmental Promotion, Early Detection and Linkages to Services" to faculty and staff. The presentation explored the key factors for a successful community-wide approach to promoting early childhood development, detection of delays and linking families with young children to timely and appropriate services.
