Guest Registration, Parking and Seating

New York Medical College is committed to making the events and activities of Commencement Week easily navigable to all graduating students and guests. The information listed below should prove helpful when planning your visit to campus during Commencement Week


On the SUNY Purchase Campus

Both students and guests will be directed to the West 1 visitor parking lot, which is adjacent to the Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase. To reach the West 1 parking lot from the main entrance, turn left and stay left on Brigid Flanagan Drive. Continue for approximately one mile and the entrance to the West 1 parking lot will be on your right.  Parking will be free.

On the NYMC Campus

All graduating students and guests should park at Lot #1 - General BSB Parking at 15 Dana Road. If handicap parking is required, please come to the MEC roadway (Old Farm Road) and public safety officers will direct you.

Tickets and Seating

The Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase

Seating will be assigned, and tickets will be distributed at the venue.  Every guest (over the age of 2) must present a ticket. Students do not need a ticket. Access to the event starts one hour prior to the start time (rain or shine). Extra tickets will be limited. If you are selected to receive any extra tickets, note that your guests may be seated in a different location from your other guests.

Each graduate is permitted to have the following number of guests attending the commencement ceremony:

For the NYMC Campus

For the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, seating will not be assigned and guests will not need a ticket at the venue. Each GSBMS graduate is permitted to have five guests attend the commencement ceremony.

Accessible Seating

The NYMC campus and the SUNY Purchase campus are both fully accessible. If you or a guest has special needs, please email the following contact for your school for additional information.
