Guest Registration, Parking and Seating

New York Medical College is committed to making the events and activities of Commencement Week easily navigable to all graduating students and guests. Information listed below should prove helpful when planning your visit to campus during Commencement Week.

Guest Registration

Each graduate will be permitted to bring 4 guests. All guests must be fully vaccinated (booster will not be required) to participate in the event unless they have an exemption. Tickets will not be used for the event. Instead, all guests (including children) must upload proof of COVID-19 vaccination into the secure, electronic submission DocuSign form by May 13, 2022, to secure their seat at the ceremony. The DocuSign form requires vaccine lot number, date(s) and location of vaccination, as well as a clear image of your completed vaccination card must be uploaded.

Unvaccinated Guests

A laboratory rapid test result performed within 48 hours of the event for unvaccinated guest, including children greater than one (1) years of age, must be submitted by the dates listed below.

  • For guests attending the SHSP/GSBMS commencement: test results must be submitted by May 23, 2022
  • For guests attending the TCDM commencement: test results must be submitted by May 24, 2022
  • For guests attending the SOM commencement: test results must be submitted by May 25, 2022

Instructions for Submitting Vaccination Information For Graduation Access

  1. Click the DocuSign form link to proceed to the PowerForm Signer Information.
  2. On the PowerForm Signer Information landing page, please input your name and your email address, then click the yellow button to “Begin Signing”
  3. Type your Guest Phone Number
  4. Please provide the graduating student’s name, first and last name
  5. Please select which school event you’ll be attending Commencement
  6. Select which event you’re planning to attend, morning event (hooding and/or awards), afternoon event (commencement) or both
  7. For your vaccination status, please select from the two available options-
    1. Upload COVID-19 vaccination card(s)
    2. Negative COVID-19 laboratory diagnostic test within 48 hours of the graduation event.  Note: Home tests are not accepted
  8. Once selected, click the Yellow/Red Paperclip icon to upload documentation.
  9. Please click the Yellow button, “Finish.”



All graduating students and guests should park at Lot #1 - General BSB Parking at 15 Dana Road.

Buses will be provided to shuttle everyone to and from the Sunshine Tent throughout the day. If needed, overflow will be directed to 7 Dana Road by public safety officers assisting with parking. If handicap parking is needed, please come to the MEC roadway (Old Farm Road) and public safety officers will direct you.

Guest Seating

Guest seating under the Sunshine Tent will be general admission and first come, first served. Guests must check-in at the check-in table when they arrive and receive a colored bracelet. The tent will be accessible for seating at 11:30 a.m. Once the tent capacity has been met, guests will be directed to an indoor auditorium to watch the ceremony virtually. Note that family members who arrive at different times may not be able to sit together. Seats under the tent cannot be saved or reserved for members of your group. For safety reasons, guests will not be permitted to stand outside the tent or on the grassy areas surrounding the tent.
