Program Size and Application/Interview Notification Process
A committee reviews the applications to determine if an interview will be granted. Due to the volume of applications received we will not be able to interview all applicants. Our interview session starts in October and ends in February, with limited interviews between Christmas and New Year holidays. We conduct all interviews on weekdays, and do not interview on weekends.
If selected for an interview, you will receive an invitation via e-mail to the address submitted to ERAS. All interview schedules are done through the ERAS scheduler. Application status is never communicated to applicants by phone. We do not provide updates on an application. Due to our very high number of applicants, we apologize that we will not be able to notify you if you are not selected for an interview.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional in-person interviews will be replaced by virtual interviews using the Webex platform. Applicants are selected on the basis of residency program-related criteria including preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials (medical school grades, USMLE scores), communication skills ,and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity. Prior graduate medical education training, where applicable, will also be considered. Once the candidates are chosen for interview by residency selection committee, applicants will be notified of their selection for interview by email and will set up an interview day; the invitation letter will include specific instructions how to schedule an interview and the details of the virtual format.
