The Academic Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery offer world renowned surgical care to the greater Hudson Valley Region through multiple focused programs of subspecialty excellence. The Division offers a full range of elective surgeries and is committed to treating patients with advanced technology and superb personalized care. Given the breadth of our affiliate teaching hospital, Westchester Medical Center and its Health Network, our specialty surgeons have treated thousands with complex needs that are often referred from the entire New York state, including the tristate area.

The Division is led by the renowned Edmond F. Ritter, MD, Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Westchester Medical Center and is comprised of faculty members who work closely with numerous medical and surgical departments to provide consultation and surgical services. And it specializes in: headache specialty care, cancer reconstruction, burn and wound care, flaps, tissue expansion, maxillofacial & microvascular surgery, scar & rhinoplasty revision, skin and bone grafting, hand surgery, correction of congenital deformities, aesthetics, and cosmetic surgery.

The Division is dedicated to the teaching mission of the college. It commits itself to the highest quality of education to medical students, surgical residents, and plastic surgery fellows; Patient care, especially in the evaluation and treatment in all areas of Plastic Surgery to adults and children; and to Research with a special focus on innovation and discovery through clinical trials and evidence based clinical research.
