The New York Medical College School of Medicine’s Department of Microbiology and Immunology is seeking applicants for the position of Chair.  Applicants should have a Ph.D., MD., M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree; academic rank at the professorial or equivalent level; a record of sustained research and mentorship accomplishments; evidence of national and international leadership in his/her field; relevant administrative experience; and demonstrated, effective interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills.  The Chair of the Department reports directly to the Dean of the School of Medicine.  The overall responsibility of the Chair is to lead the Department to a position of academic and professional eminence, while furthering the goals and missions of the School of Medicine in regard to teaching, research and clinical care.
