Professional Interests:

Dr. Kittleson’s research focuses on the use of technology within the profession of health education/health promotion and public health. He created the HEDIR (a large health education listserv with nearly 2,000 members) that has been used by the profession for nearly 25 years, as well as The International Electronic Journal of Health Education, the first completely on-line peer-reviewed health education journal.  He recently finished a five-year federal study determining the effectiveness of sexuality education, service learning, mentoring and parental involvement in the reduction of teen pregnancy in New Mexico.
