New York Medical College holds its formal commencement ceremony once a year, in May. Diplomas are awarded at the same time.
The Graduate Student Research Forum is an annual, daylong event - typically held in early spring - sponsored by the Graduate Student Association. The Forum includes a keynote address, as well as oral and poster presentations of student-conducted research, providing student-scientists an opportunity to present their research to NYMC faculty and staff, colleagues and the scientific community. All participants receive valuable feedback on their research and presentations and first, second and third-place winners are selected in Oral Presentations, Senior Poster Presentations, and Novice Presentations categories.
The Westchester Science and Engineering Fair (WESEF) is an annual science competition featuring projects from more than 400 high school science students from 30+ schools in Westchester and Putnam counties of New York. Each year, several GSBMS graduate students and faculty volunteer as judges at the competition.
