SHSP Hosts Special Public Health Practice Council Meeting

Robert W. Amler, M.D., M.B.A., back left, dean of the School of Health Sciences and Practice and vice president for government affairs, welcomed guest speaker Hiram C. Polk, Jr., M.D., back second from left, commissioner of the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, to the Public Health Practice Council meeting on August 16.  Dr. Polk served for more than 30 years as chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
