Kwaku Quist - Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management

  Kwaku Quist

"I was once a computer programmer but made a career change after the ripple effect of the 911 attacks impacted my former employer. My favorite part of working as a registered nurse is seeing patients leave the hospital satisfied with the care they received. I decided to pursue an MPH degree in order to broaden my career and move into the management side of healthcare. Going back to school was a challenge, but an interesting one that has taught me how to look at healthcare from a different perspective. I am very happy about the choice I made to come to New York Medical College. NYMC is close to my home and work. The class sizes are great, and the professors are engaging and dedicated to what they do."

“Be the change you wish to see in the world” (by Mahatma Gandhi) is a quote that Kwaku Quist tries to live by every day. He enjoys writing in his spare time but is currently focused on the Masters degree in Public Health at New York Medical College with a concentration in Health Policy and Management. Kwaku Quist currently works as registered nurse at Westchester Medical Center, an affiliate of New York Medical College.
