International Applicants

International students are accepted only as matriculated, full-time students (9 credits per Fall/Spring semester). They must meet all of the College’s admissions standards.

In addition, before being reviewed for admission, international students must provide all required supporting documentation, including evaluation of foreign transcripts by an approved evaluating agency, evidence of financial support, through a notarized affidavit of support and a bank statement confirming sufficient funds to cover the cost of their degree program at New York Medical College. No financial aid, loans, or scholarships, re available for international students. Upon acceptance, students must submit a non-refundable deposit of $500, which will be applied to the first semester tuition. When the $500 deposit is received in the Admissions Office, a Form I-20 will be issued by the International Student Advisor. In addition, international students must be prepared to purchase health insurance, either privately or through New York Medical College.

International applicants should refer to specific programs on the left-hand navigation for any additional requirements.

The M.S. degree program in Speech-Language Pathology requires two years of full-time study, and the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program requires three years of full-time study. The M.P.H. degree takes approximately two years of full-time study to complete. The time span for the Dr.P.H. degrees (there is a two-year residency requirement) depends upon the educational background of the applicant, which would affect the amount of credits needed to complete the program.
