Founded in 2015, the primary mission of the Cardiovascular Translational Science Institute (TSI) is to provide the infrastructure to conduct nationally competitive translational research, both by leveraging the capabilities of NYMC scientists and clinical investigators at the Westchester Medical Center (WMC), and through the development of durable partnerships with the academic and industry sectors.
Research
- Host workshops with basic scientists and clinical investigators to stimulate a synergy of overlapping interests and expertise in specific topics to encourage collaboration.
- Identify specific research projects and request the submission of brief program proposals, primarily emanating from collaboration between NYMC scientists and clinicians at WMC.
- Promote the successes of selected projects across both institutions to further instill an innovative culture amongst our researchers.
