The Student-2-Student Network is a student-led outreach program that offers accepted candidates several ways to learn more about NYMC—from a peer perspective—as they contemplate matriculating to NYMC. The initiative offers three programs through which accepted students can make valuable connections.
- Student Ambassadors are available to answer questions about the school, life as a medical student at NYMC and fun events happening on campus in a personal and peer-led environment via email and through social media. Accepted students will be able to learn about current events on campus and get the inside track on life as a medical student at NYMC.
- Second Look Day takes place in mid-April and is designed to give accepted students another opportunity tospend time on campus, meet faculty and senior administrators, tour the campus and connect with current students. Students also have the opportunity to spend a night on campus with a current medical student. Choosing a medical school is an important decision and taking a second look can help with that choice.
- Medical Student for a Day is a one-on-one program during which accepted students spend a day with a current medical student to get an inside look at NYMC. Accepted students have the chance to attend classes, participate in small group discussions and learn more about the daily life of an NYMC medical student.
