Faculty Development

The mission of the SOM Faculty Development is to support career and professional development of its School of Medicine faculty at all levels including teaching, research, service and clinical practice.   

The goals of the SOM Faculty Development are to provide programs and resources that allow faculty to build professional skills and knowledge in scholarship and education, to promote mentorship and collaboration, and to reward and recognize faculty commitment to and excellence in education. Furthermore the SOM Faculty Development aims to engage faculty on an ongoing basis to ensure programs and resources are applicable to faculty needs.

  • Junior Faculty Mentoring / Promotion
  • Guidance in Scholarly Work 
  • Assist Course Directors with Course or Curriculum Development on an "As Needed" Basis
  • One to One Consultations with Course Directors and Faculty (Feedback to Improve Teaching Skills
  • Resident as Teacher/Student as Teacher
