Match Day is an annual rite of passage for U.S. medical school students and other applicants, a day when they learn at which U.S. residency programs they will train for the next three to seven years. The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) announces the Main Residency Match® results for more than 17,000 United States allopathic medical school seniors and 16,000 other applicants every year on the third Friday in March.
Every year, moments before noon on Match Day, New York Medical College campus is packed with a boisterous crowd eagerly waiting to find out where the next graduating class of the NYMC School of Medicine would continue their medical training.
