Bulent Mamikoglu, M.D., is an otologist and neurotologist whose clinical practice is dedicated to complex disorders of the ear and lateral skull base. His work is focused on advanced otologic and neurotologic disease, including chronic ear pathology, otosclerosis requiring stapes surgery, vestibular disorders, and tinnitus.

Currently associate director of Northern Region Otolaryngology at Westchester Medical Center, he has extensive surgical experience in tympanomastoid and stapes surgery, as well as skull base procedures, including the management of acoustic neuromas through collaboration with neurosurgical teams using translabyrinthine approaches. His clinical practice functions as a regional referral center for complex otologic and neurotologic disease, requiring specialized diagnostic evaluation and surgical management.

His scholarly work spans over two decades and includes highly cited contributions in acoustic neuroma surgery, as well as contemporary research addressing intracranial pressure–related inner ear disorders, pulsatile tinnitus, and vestibular migraine.
His current research focuses on the interface between cerebrospinal fluid dynamics, venous outflow physiology, and inner ear function, aiming to advance a more mechanistic understanding of dizziness, hearing loss, and tinnitus. As principal investigator on ongoing studies, he continues to contribute to the evolving scientific framework linking peripheral otologic disease with central vestibular processing.

Dr. Mamikoglu is deeply committed to excellence in medicine and lifelong learning, drawing inspiration from classical philosophical traditions, including the teachings of Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Outside of his professional work, he has a strong appreciation for animals, reflecting a broader sense of compassion that informs his approach to patient care.

He is actively involved in teaching and mentorship and has been recognized for his contributions to medical education. He is a fellow of the American Neurotology Society and remains committed to advancing the field through both surgical excellence and academic scholarship.
