Anas Othman Issa Mohamed, M.D. has built a solid foundation in the field of pathology, contributing to both clinical practice and research. His research efforts have focused on a range of topics, including the molecular diagnosis of gynecologic conditions, the diagnostic accuracy of cytology in thoracic malignancies, and the validation of biomarkers in breast cancer. He has authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in prominent journals, including studies on the variability of breast carcinoma diagnoses and the clinical significance of Oncotype DX recurrence scores.

Dr. Mohamed has also been involved in several multi-institutional research projects, including investigating the clinicopathologic features of rare gynecologic tumors and the accuracy of intraoperative diagnostic methods. His work is primarily aimed at improving diagnostic processes and enhancing the understanding of disease mechanisms in both common and uncommon pathologies.

In addition to his research, Dr. Mohamed has led quality improvement projects focused on enhancing diagnostic accuracy and validation of immunohistochemical markers in pathology. These projects have been implemented within clinical settings to improve operational efficiency and consistency in diagnostic practices.

Dr. Mohamed has contributed to the pathology community through active participation in professional organizations, including the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP). His involvement in these groups reflects his commitment to staying current with developments in the field and supporting the ongoing education of pathology professionals.

He has also dedicated time to teaching and mentoring, serving as a course facilitator and teaching fellow. His educational efforts have been recognized by colleagues, underscoring his role in training future pathologists and supporting residents in their professional development.
